King Charles is preparing host an important visit following his power move in Canada amid ongoing diplomatic tensions.

The monarch had invited US President Donald Trump for a State Visit, which will be taking place in September. As the preparations are underway, Charles has made a meaningful decision for the crucial meeting.

Trump has reportedly approved the venue for the meeting but it’s not going to Buckingham Palace and there is a major reason behind it, according to property expert.

“Buckingham Palace might be the more famous royal address, but Windsor Castle is arguably more personal – it’s where the late Queen Elizabeth II spent her final years and where King Charles III hosted his first state visit,” expert Terry Fisher told GB News.

King Charles’ shocking decision sparks outrage in Canada

Fisher noted that Buckingham Palace is also undergoing “extensive renovations” which is why Windsor has stepped up as “the backdrop for key royal events”. Windsor was also chosen over Scottish alternatives including Balmoral and Dumfries House, which the King had proposed in February.

He added that Windsor is “true home” while Buckingham is the “office”. The expert suggested that Windsor would serve as “diplomatic strategy” as represents British heritage and it is “living, breathing symbol of the monarchy’s endurance and tradition” over through 40 reigns.

King Charles stands with Canada after Trump’s statement

In February, the British monarch had sent a personal letter to the newly-inaugurated Trump, inviting him for a second State Visit – an unprecedented move.

However, political tensions escalated dramatically the next day when Ukrainian president Zelenskyy and Trump got into a heated argument. Since then, Charles has been exercising his soft power to maintain peace among the states, especially the European bloc.
