Sheila’s childbearing years are most likely behind her, with her youngest child being twenty-one and her current whereabouts unknown.
Could Sheila and Deacon possibly explore the option of adopting a child together, despite the numerous obstacles they would face? There are many challenges they would have to overcome, not just their ages!

Who knows, Deacon has a grown son he hasn’t seen in years, and Sheila a granddaughter she’s never met-perhaps one of her children or his son might drop off a child!
If they work it that way, they wouldn’t be the first grandparents to raise a child as their own-or, Sheila could look up her black market adoption contacts. There are lots of opportunities based on Deacon and Sheila’s previous histories to make them adoptive parents-legal or not.

Alongside Finn and Hope Logan (Annika Noelle), there would be another addition to the family, offering tangible proof of Sheila and Deacon’s improved journey. It would be intriguing to witness Steffy’s response if Deacon and Sheila contemplate adoption.
Although Steffy would never approve of Sheila assuming a maternal role towards an unsuspecting child, she might find solace in the idea of it diverting attention away from Finn.
Nevertheless, Deacon and Sheila could explore the possibility of adopting a child to augment their happiness. With their immense capacity for love, a son or daughter would bring a sense of completeness to their lives.
