Breaking News: Inside Kate Middleton and King Charles’ sweet relationship including nicknames

Kate Middleton married Prince William back in 2011, and since then, has become a staple part of the Royal Family, with Charles even referring to her as his “darling daughter-in-law”.
As well as appearing to have close bonds with other members, including the late Queen Elizabeth, it seems that the future Queen also has a great relationship with her father-in-law, King Charles, whose Coronation is just around the corner.
From attending official engagements together to spending Christmas with Charles and her young family, here are 10 snaps that prove just how much the two are fond of each other…

The two are seen greeting each other fondly, with the Princess of Wales wearing a stunning gold dress.

The two were seen getting involved with the arts and crafts while sharing a giggle together.

The Princess of Wales has flown solo for plenty of engagements in the past, especially when her husband William was working away as a search and rescue pilot. This photo shows Kate, King Charles and the Queen Consort sharing a joke at a Buckingham Palace garden party in 2012, just one year after she officially joined the family.
Family portraits are very popular in the Royal family, and this particular shot shows Charles not only very comfortable in the company of Kate, but also with his grandchildren, Prince George, nine, Princess Charlotte, seven, (who will also apparently have a key role along with her brother at the Coronation) and Prince Louis, four, plus his youngest son Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle.
By the look of Kate’s face, you can see how much she respects Charles. The two appear to be at some sort of engagement, and the Princess of Wales can be seen smiling at her father-in-law.
There seems to be a theme here, because Kate has been papped more than once laughing at something King Charles has said. This shot shows the pair, plus Prince William and Camilla Queen Consort in February 2020 as they visited the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre (DMRC) in Loughborough.
Back to 2014 now in Windsor, where Kate and Charles shared a carriage to mark Garter Day. Charles is clearly saying something to make Kate smile as the two drove past the onlookers.
Both Kate and Charles appear to be in deep conversation as they left the annual church service together in Sandringham on Christmas Day, again, in 2014.
