Days Of Our Lives Alum Vincent Irizarry Comments On How He Turned A Tragedy Into Hope
Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers note it’s been quite a long time since fans have seen Vincent Irizarry in the land of Salem. He played Deimos Kiriakis on the show, and while the character died in 2017, he did return briefly in 2021 as a zombie when the devil possessed Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall). He’s also had various other daytime drama roles over the years including All My Children, Guiding Light, and The Bold and the Beautiful.
With that being said, the soap opera vet recently talked about a tragic loss in his life and how it was transformed into hope.

Irizarry has suffered through a real-life tragedy. He’s shared in the past that his cousin Lauren took her life in 2022. Vincent hopped on Instagram to talk about how this loss turned into a story of hope.
In the post, he talks about how an artist drew multiple murals of Lauren in both New Orleans and Brooklyn. Still, Irizarry also comments about his Uncle Johnny, Lauren’s father.
He goes on to note that his Uncle John Irizarry, a musician, wrote and recorded an album in memory of Lauren. Vincent reveals that John used music to help with his “insurmountable” grief.

In March of this year, Soap Opera Digest (SOD) reported that Vincent would join Adam Huss (ex-Nikolas Cassadine on General Hospital), as well as Jordi Vilasuso (ex-Dario Hernandez on Days & ex-Rey Rosales on Young and the Restless) for a new role on a new digital soap called THE BLVD.
