King Charles’ ‘secret weapon’ Duchess Sophie marks special milestone with new role announcement
Duchess Sophie has been appointed to a new role following King Charles’ significant decision regarding the royal family during his cancer struggles.
Hello! Magazine reported that the Duchess of Edinburgh followed in the footsteps of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth II as she became the patron of Yellow Labrador Club.
Dressed in a chic outfit, the mother-of-two visited the club on Tuesday and shared heartfelt moments with dogs.
Club honorary secretary Sussie Wiles made light-hearted remarks on Sophie’s meeting with the puppies, “…we had to watch carefully that she [Sophie] didn’t sneak one in her pocket.”
Sussie recalled the “lovely afternoon” spent with the Duchess. She dubbed the royal family’s ‘secret weapon’ a down-to-earth person.
Sophie “really put us at ease and it was lovely to have her as part of our group. None of us felt awkward, she made us all feel very much at ease…,” the official of the club said.
It is important to note that Sophie began this new journey after an insider shared that the King is “dedicated” to bringing his family and the country together to mark VE Day.
