“The famous actress Kaley Cuoco recently honored her late on-screen father John Ritter at the An Evening from the Heart Gala organized by the John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health. During the gala, held on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at the Sunset Room in Hollywood, Los Angeles, Kaley Cuoco later spoke with TLC 24h magazine and reminisced about her on-screen father.”
While speaking with the publication, she said:
“He touched a lot of lives. I became very close to Ritter’s family, who have worked very hard for the past two decades to bring awareness to aortic dissection. I will do anything for his wife and his kids. And I’m so really very proud to be here and honoring him.”
When John Ritter passed away in 2003, his family sued Burbank Hospital for their negligence. According to Today, the late actor’s wife, Amy Yasbeck, mentioned that he experienced severe nausea and chest pain while on the set filming “8 Simple Rules”. As his condition worsened, he was taken to the hospital and passed away shortly thereafter.
However, decades later, many celebrities, including Cheri Oteri, Holly Robinson Peete, and others, have come together and pledged to donate money to raise awareness. The John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health was established by Amy Yasbeck Ritter in 2003, as the family aimed to spread awareness about the condition and prevent others from suffering.
