Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are no longer close with the royal family after years of feuding, but it seems Kate Middleton could be about to end the bitter feud
Kate Middleton has offered an olive branch to Meghan Markle as she works to end the royal family feud, according to a source.
The Princess of Wales is believed to have reached out to the Duchess of Sussex as she realizes it’s time to let go of the past. Meghan and her husband Prince Harry became estranged from the royal family after stepping down from their roles within the monarchy five years ago.
The couple then issued a number of attacks against members of the royal family, including Kate and her husband Prince William. However, the source said it’s now “water under the bridge.”
The source also suggested Kate’s cancer diagnosis has made her rethink the feud. The Princess of Wales was diagnosed with cancer last year after undergoing planned abdominal surgery.
She announced in September she had completed her chemotherapy treatment. “She’s come to a place where she wants peace in every aspect of her life. Not just for herself, but for the sake of William and Harry,” the source said.
Speaking to Closer Magazine, the source also suggested Kate is “worried” about what the feud will do to Harry and William, who were once close. They added, “A lot of people still think Kate would be justified to hang onto a grudge after the way Meghan has behaved, but she has no interest in that.”
Kate is still believed to be “hurt” by Harry and Meghan’s bombshell allegations, but the source said she is “ready to let it go.” They said time has “been a great healer” for Kate.
The source suggested Kate “doesn’t want to dwell on the past anymore.” They added, “She wants to put that all in the past and make a new go of this.”
While Kate might be ready to forgive Harry and Meghan, the source warned there is “no chance” of Kate and William working closely with Harry and Meghan again. However, the source claimed Kate feels “this could be their last chance to make peace with Meghan once and for all.”
