King Charles Angry When Receiving Call From Prince Harry: Is Father-Son Relationship Reaching Bottom?

King Charles becomes instantly aggravated whenever he receives a phone call from his estranged son Prince Harry, according to a royal commentator.

It’s no surprise that the monarch has endured a fractured relationship with the Duke of Sussex ever since Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, quit royal life in 2020 and moved to the US.

Despite being back on home soil several times since, Harry’s relationship with his father — as well as his brother, Prince William — has become nonexistent.

“After the brickbats, ‘truth bombs’ and accusations of Oprah, Netflix and Harry’s ‘Spare,’ he lost his older brother, strained his relationship with various members of the royal family to breaking point and left many old friends and trusted staff behind,” royal expert Emily Andrews wrote in Woman Magazine, via the Mirror.

“Now, even his own father is not taking his calls. I’m told that when courtiers bring the phone to the king, he waves them away in irritation,” she said, adding that the monarch, 75, does not own a personal phone.

“This is not because there’s been yet another falling out. Rather, it is thought to be because Harry wants to continuously discuss his ongoing battle for security, which he has been fighting in the court for four years and believes Charles has the power to reinstate.”

“Those close to Harry say the king no longer even answers his letters,” she said, adding that Harry “gets ‘unavailable right now’ and his calls go unanswered, says a friend.”

The Post has reached out to Buckingham Palace for comment.

Prince Harry’s pal recently revealed that the duke’s calls to his father go “unanswered.

Indeed, a close friend of the Invictus Games founder claimed in July that Harry is no longer on speaking terms with his estranged father.

Despite the father-son duo’s meeting in February during the duke’s mad dash to London following the king’s cancer diagnosis, the pair’s communication has since become nonexistent.

And while their 45-minute meetup is said to have been positive, Charles no longer takes his son’s calls or responds to his letters, according to those close to Harry.

“His calls go unanswered. He has tried to reach out about the king’s health, but those calls go unanswered too,” the duke’s pal told People.

According to Andrews, the demise of the pair’s bond was in part due to Harry’s unwavering attempts at regaining taxpayer-funded security in the UK for him and his family.

Andrews says that “no single issue than security is a greater sticking point” for the duke.

Earlier this year, the London High Court ruled to strip the Sussexes of taxpayer-funded UK security protection.

He plans to appeal the decision.

What’s more, Harry — whose offer to foot the bill for personal police protection in the UK was rejected in court — feels that his father is able to intervene to help.

Harry’s fight for UK taxpayer-funded security for him and his family contributed to the rift with his father, Andrews suggests.

Allegedly as a result of this impasse, the pair’s relationship has worsened and a “complete silence” now awaits Harry whenever he reaches out to the king.

What’s more, Harry said in a July interview that his estranged family’s unwillingness to fight against the press has been the “central piece” that contributed to the breakdown of his relationship with his relatives.
