King Charles sent a clear message to the world that he is not ‘stepping away’ anytime soon despite his cancer battle.
The monarch recently returned to the UK after making history in Canada by officially opening Canada’s 45th Parliament and delivering a powerful speech amid political tensions.
Speaking of the King’s key move, royal commentator Pandora Forsyth said that the trip is “extremely significant” for the monarch as he wants to showcase that he is “not going to stop working any time soon.”
“This is a very quick trip for him across to Canada, but extremely significant, given everything that’s happening on the political spectrum at the moment,” she stated.
As King Charles and Queen Camilla wrapped their tour, the royal couple released a statement, expressing gratitude towards the love received by Canadians.
As per the royal family, the King and Queen said, “As my wife and I leave Canada, we wanted to send our most heartfelt thanks to all those who turned out to offer their support on this, my first visit as Sovereign.”
“It was the warmest of welcomes – and the fondest of returns to a land and a people we love.”
