King Charles honours key royals in special nod at prestigious State Banquet

Palace releases rare footage from French State Banquet highlight key members of royal family

King Charles held his first-ever State Banquet in St George’s Hall, Windsor Castle, as he welcomed French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte.

While keen attention to detail was given into welcoming the French dignitaries, the monarch also took the opportunity to honour key members if the royal family as a nod to their loyalty to the Crown.

On Tuesday, Prince William and Kate Middleton arrived in exquisite attire, appropriate for the prestigious State Banquet.

Moreover, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, Princess Anne and her husband Sir Tim Laurence along with the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester arrived for the important event.

In a rare footage from the crucial event, the Buckingham Palace highlighted the stunning arrival of the members of the royal family. This update also seemed to have signified the importance these members hold for the King, especially in his slimmed down monarchy.

The monarch, since his cancer diagnosis has upgraded the royal roles of his most trusted family members including Prince Edward, Duchess Sophie and Princess Anne. These three royals have risen to prominence after they have carried out key missions on behalf of the monarch.

For the event, the royal women were dressed to the nines. Princess Anne wore her white Maureen Baker dress from her 70th birthday photoshoot paired with her Festoon Tiara.

Duchess Sophie opted for the glamorous white gown with her Aquamarine Tiara. Whereas, Queen Camilla, wore an ivory silk and crepe embroidered evening gown by Fiona Clare. She paired it with a sapphire and diamond tiara, necklace, earrings, and bracelet from Queen Elizabeth II’s sapphire suite.
