Prince William made his father King Charles’ emotional after taking over key royal role

Prince William brought tears to his father King Charles’ eyes with his emotional remark about a role close to the monarch’s heart.
After the death of Queen Elizabeth II in 2022, Charles ascended to the throne as the King of Britons, whereas, his son, William bestowed with the title of Prince of Wales.
Not only that, Princess Catherine’s husband became the Duke of Cornwall, which means he supervised the matters of the Duchy of Cornwall estate.
The Mirror reported that William was seen enthusiastically discussing the estate in the ITV documentary Prince Charles: Inside the Duchy of Cornwall.
Several royal fans witnessed that the King’s eldest son’s heartfelt comments left him in tears.
Talking to Mervyn Keeling, a second-generation farmer, William said, “I’ve started to think about how I will inherit the Duchy one day and what I do with it. I think it’s really important, the family angle, I really do.”
In a video clip from the documentary, King Charles confessed to being emotional hearing his son’s thoughts over the Cornwall estate.
He said, “When I saw it, I couldn’t believe it. I was deeply touched and moved by what he said. Frankly, it reduced me to tears. It did, really. Because, I suddenly thought, well, just hearing that from him has made the last 50 years worthwhile.”
