King Charles pens emotional statement after receiving tragic news

King Charles issued an emotional statement after the monarch received shocking news that distressed him and Queen Camilla.
The Buckingham Palace on Thursday shared the personal message to the public following reports of a devastating incident in Austria.
“My wife and I were deeply shocked and saddened to learn about the appallingly tragic events at the Dreierschűtzengasse school in Graz,” he wrote.
“Schools should be places of sanctuary and learning, which makes this horrific attack on students and staff all the more dreadful.”
He continued, “Our most heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with the families of all those affected by this terrible loss of life and injury. We send our deepest sympathy to all Austrians at this profoundly distressing time.”
The message comes after a teacher and nine students were killed – six girls and three boys aged between 14 and 17 – during an attack in Austrian school. According to reports, police revealed that a 21-year-old opened fire with a handgun and a shotgun before killing himself in a school bathroom.
Another 11 people were wounded in the attack.
The shooter had left what officials called a “farewell letter” and a video message to his parents, then returned to the school where he never graduated.
