King Charles’ ‘special gift’ to Queen Camilla on her 78th birthday: ‘This is his reward to her’

The monarch will likely spoil his wife today

t’s a special week for Queen Camilla as she marked her 78th birthday on July 17, and King Charles could surprise her with a touching gift.

Camilla turned 78 on July 17. To mark the occasion, the royal family’s social media pages released stunning new photos of Her Majesty.

Although it’s not a big milestone birthday for Camilla and she likely has everything she could ever want, it’ll still be a special day, and one former royal butler reckoned the king, 76, spoiled her.

Speaking on behalf of Slingo, former royal butler Paul Burrell predicted: “I think privately, the king will give her a party at Clarence House or Birkhall and they’ll have people go up to Scotland.

“He likes to give her jewellery. I think he’ll give her something special. He may have had something commissioned for a birthday. He’s very spoiling, the king, and he will make sure that all attention is on Camilla.”

Paul said he thinks King Charles “likes to remind her that she’s queen” and likes to remind her that “this is given by him for her service over the years to him, and this is his reward to her”.

Queen Camilla’s birthday celebrations to be ‘behind closed doors’

Paul, who was Princess Diana’s butler for 10 years, added of Camilla’s 78th birthday celebrations: “I don’t think there’ll be any public celebrations because it’s not a milestone birthday.

“Everything will be behind closed doors. Maybe they’ll go back to the Ritz again because that was a milestone when they first stepped out together.

He’s very spoiling, the king, and he will make sure that all attention is on Camilla.

“They like dining out, but why dine out when you have a fantastic chef at home?”

Camilla ‘changed Charles for the better’

Speaking on behalf of Prime Casino, Grant said: “His relationship with her I’d say changed him for the better. She’s helped him become more comfortable and more himself. I think we see more of the real him thanks to her.

“She makes him laugh a lot. We always see him laughing now. I’m not saying he didn’t laugh before, or he didn’t have fun, but there was a point where he did become quite serious, probably when he was extremely unhappy in his previous marriage.”
