Prince Harry under fire for dominating headlines on Queen Camilla’s birthday

Royal watchers slams Prince Harry for timing of Landmine charity visit

Prince Harry’s recent visit to Angola to support landmine charity work has sparked controversy among royal supporters, who claim that the timing of the trip was intentionally designed to overshadow Queen Camilla’s 78th birthday.

The Duke of Sussex’s visit to the Halo Trust, where he followed in Princess Diana’s footsteps, appeared on the front pages of several British newspapers, including the Daily Telegraph and Daily Mail.

Royal watchers took to social media to express their frustration at the timing of the high-profile visit. “There are 365 days in a year. You can’t tell me that Harry retracing his mother’s steps, AGAIN, the day before Queen Camilla’s birthday, wasn’t intentional.

The King needs to wake up,” one user posted.

Another social media user wrote: “Harry’s turned petty into a full-time job. Out of 365 days, he just happens to make headlines right before Camilla’s birthday? Please.”

However, others argued that the timing was coincidental. One supporter wrote: “Harry and The HALO Trust have been in Angola this week (Harry’s a patron) and met with the President on Tuesday.

They discussed a new three-year contract to continue the demining work. What is ‘absurd’ is to link any of this to Camilla’s birthday today.”

During his visit to Angola, Prince Harry met with Angola’s President João Lourenço to discuss renewed government support for the charity’s work.

He also spoke about the ongoing threat landmines pose to civilians, saying: “Children should never have to live in fear of playing outside or walking to school.”

The Halo Trust has cleared 120,000 landmines in Angola, remnants from years of civil war.

Prince Harry serves as patron of the Halo Trust and has been involved in the charity’s work for many years.

His visit to Angola was aimed at highlighting the ongoing need for demining work and supporting the charity’s efforts to clear minefields and educate communities about the dangers of landmines.
