Even after major photo agencies removed a family portrait from Mother’s Day from their huge archives due to an editing error, Kate’s passion for photography remained well-known. The documentary “Kate: A Queen for the Future” aired on Channel 5 and revealed that after seeing the negative effects of media attention on Prince William’s life, Kate took the unprecedented step of becoming the family’s main photographer.

According to royal writer Ingrid Seward, Kate has taken on the role of “the family’s primary photographer,” rescuing the children from the awkwardness of being photographed by complete strangers. Prince William has grown up in the spotlight, as is customary for members of the royal family.
