Prince William gives cheeky Prince Louis warning he might ‘steal’ from Charlotte
Prince William made a relatable parenting revelation during a visit to a Welsh school, with a cheeky joke shedding some light on the sibling relationships of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis
Prince William has shed some light on an apparent cheeky sibling rivalry while visiting a school in Wales.
The proud father of three couldn’t resist talking about his own kids while chatting with pupils at Swiss Valley Community Primary School, in Llanelli, including 10-year-old Ruby Davies.
Talented Ruby went viral earlier this year after winning the individual reciting competition for Welsh learners at the weeklong Urdd Eisteddfod festival, which celebrates Welsh culture and language. In a sweet clip that swiftly went viral, young Ruby could be seen grinning from ear to ear as she accepted her award, telling delighted onlookers, ‘I love performing as well!’
During her chat with William, 42, Ruby presented the heir to the throne with friendship bracelets for ‘the prince and princess’. Of course, Prince George, 11, and Princess Charlotte, nine, recently revealed they were Swifties after attending Taylor Swift’s Eras tour with dad William, even grabbing a coveted selfie with Taylor herself.
However, it looks as though youngest sibling Louis, who is only six years old, could have his eye on the bracelets if his brother and sister don’t watch out…
Appearing touched by the thoughtful gesture, William told Ruby: “Thank you so much, they’re going to love these. You’ll see them out and about. I’ll keep them away from Louis because he’ll try and steal all his sister’s bits!”
This surprisingly relatable insight into the Wales household comes after the family offered an uplifting update on mum Kate’s progress amid her cancer journey. In a deeply personal video with her family, which saw them enjoying themselves in the countryside, the princess confirmed she had completed her course of chemotherapy following her cancer diagnosis.
Kate, 42, described the past nine months since her serious health issues began as having been ‘incredibly tough for us as a family’, reflecting upon how the ‘cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone’, adding that the experience had given her a ‘new perspective on everything’.
The future Queen continued: “This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved.” In the rare emotional video, Kate can be seen looking up adoringly at husband William as she rests her head on his shoulder, with the pair later laughing together, holding hands and sharing a kiss.
Kate, who is currently continuing to work from home, hopes to return to a light programme of public duties for the remainder of the year, while focusing on making a full recovery, and is aiming for a handful of engagements in the months to come.
Palace sources have previously stated that Kate is hoping to attend the Cenotaph with her family for Remembrance Sunday but will not be joining Prince William in November during his Earthshot Prize awards in South Africa.
