Despite their often packed schedules keeping them apart, Queen Camilla and King Charles shared a heartfelt moment in Rome a they marked two decades of marriage.
During their state visit to Italy, the Queen, 77, made a touching tribute to their wedding by rewearing the irony Anna Valentine silk coat and dress she originally donned for their civil ceremony at Windsor Guildhall on April 9, 2005.
The outfit has been subtly updated with new embroidery by designer Beth Somerville-an alumna of the King’s Foundation-to reflect the sustainable fashion message woven into the royal couple’s visit, reported DailyMail.
The meaningful choice did not go unnoticed, as King Charles 76, beamed with pride as the two arrived at the Italian Parliament, where he later delivered a landmark speech.
Later, during a visit to a school event, celebrating the 80th anniversary of the British Council, Queen Camilla appeared in good spirits.
She chatted warmly about their anniversary and emphasised the importance of inspiring young minds to read and write creatively.
