Taylor Swift has confessed her ex Joe Alwyn was the ‘wrong guy’ while on-stage in France.

The superstar singer, who is on the Europe leg of her Eras world tour, left fans emotional with her surprising end to her track as she sun in Paris last night.

Taylor drove fans wild when she strummed along on her guitar and sung: “Long story short it was the wrong guy. ” She poignantly finished with the words, “long story short I survived.”

Fans flocked to Twitter/X to talk about the sensational performance – all convinced she was referring to British ex Joe. One said: “The way she ended one of her most heartbreaking songs with long story short it was the wrong guy.. long story short i survived.”

Another said: “I can’t deal.” A third chimed in: “The end to that song. Wow.” A fourth simply agreed: “Epic. The emotion behind that song is clear.”

The emotional outpour comes as it has been revealed Taylor Swift is reportedly singing about her ex Joe Alwyn in her epic Tortured Poets Department album as staff at the Black Dog pub confirm, “we have a certain blonde regular”.

Staff at The Black Dog, in Vauxhall, London, have been mobbed by Swifties, who have bought pint glasses as souvenirs from the bar name-checked on track 17 of Swift’s new record that has taken the world by storm.

Now Lily Bottomley, 24, from S C Soho, the hospitality group that owns the Black Dog, has opened up about Taylor’s track. In a chat with the South London Press, she gave the biggest hint yet that Joe was the subject of the track, saying: “We know the song is about one of her ex-boyfriends and without giving too much away, I will say we have had a certain blonde regular in a few times.”

The news is sure to delight Taylor’s die-hard fans who have been scratching their heads over the identity of the love-interest in her tracks. Several Swifties have narrowed it down to rocker Matty Healy, or actor Joe Alwyn.

Alwyn co-wrote and produced tracks from 2020 albums Folklore and Evermore. Some think the song could also be referring to her brief relationship with The 1975 frontman Matty.

Taylor’s 11th studio album, Tortured Poets Department, is another delve into her relationship history, with fans speculating it must be ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn. Seeing him go into the pub in question on an app on her phone, she said: “I am someone who until recent events you shared your secrets with and your location. You forgot to turn it off. And so I watch as you walk into some bar called The Black Dog.”
