TV Star Issues Profuse Apology to Princess Kate Over Insensitive Joke, Pledges Prayers
Princess Kate gets grovelling apology from TV star for insensitive joke – ‘we’re praying’
The star has joined the list of celebrities apologising to the Princess of Wales for joking about her absence from the public eye.
Conspiracy theories ran rampant about the Princess of Wales and her January procedure, after which she stopped appearing in public while recovering. Many questioned what was going on and where she was – and attempts by the palace to refute any negative claims only brought more questions.
Followers and celebrities all joined in on the theories, including people like Blake Lively and Kim Kardashian, with some of them since apologising and others still refusing to do so.
One of the people who made a joke that has since aged poorly was Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen.
Now, he has joined the ranks of those who are publicly issuing an apology to the royal after her announcement that she was battling cancer.
After questioning if a public outing really featured Kate, and bringing up the mystery on an episode of his show, he is now revealing how he wishes he “kept his mouth shut”
“I just want to say, I am heartbroken by the news about Princess Kate,” he said on the most recent episode of his SiriusXM show Andy Cohen Live.
“I think someone on Sky News called me a ‘numpty’ during that whole conversation and they were right,” he continued.
Kate Middleton’s announcement came shortly after King Charles’ own cancer diagnosis was disclosed
“We are all praying for Princess Kate and King Charles,” he added.
He wasn’t the only one forced to apologise for commenting on the Princess’ whereabouts.
