Shocking Days Of Our Lives Exit
On Friday July 19, Ken Corday released an official statement introducing their new head writers.
Here’s what the Days of Our Lives press release stated, “We look forward to approaching our 60th Anniversary next year with Paula and Jeanne Marie at the helm and fresh, exciting stories that we know the fans will embrace.
We wish Ron nothing but the best and thank him for his dedication and the respect he has shown to me, the cast, and the show’s legacy.”
Ron Carlivati was hired as the Days Of Our Lives head-writer in 2017 Corday and the crew had high hopes, but instead the series took some strange and supernatural turns.
Ratings continued to drop and eventually DOOL was dropped from the network’s daytime schedule and is now only available to be streamed online. A lot of fans blame Carlivati for the show’s downward spiral, it sounds like TPTB might too.
Ron Carlivati Has Left The Building
Ken Corday’s statement really says it all. “Fresh, exciting stories that we know the fans will embrace” makes it seem like he and Ron were not seeing eye to eye on storylines and the directions the characters were being taken in.
According to reports, Ron Carlivati’s scenes will continue airing until April 2025. Then, we will begin seeing what the new writing team has in store for Salem.
