Meghan Markle’s Princess Diana moment was ‘pre-planned’ says body language expert

Meghan Markle “intentionally” mimicked Princess Diana in her recent birthday post, according to a body language expert.

The Duchess of Sussex marked her 45th birthday on 4th August, celebrating the occasion by releasing new photographs and footage from her festivities. Meghan posted two images of herself leaping into a swimming pool while clutching a bouquet of balloons.

She also posted a video of herself dancing around the kitchen while sporting a glittering “Happy Birthday” tiara.

The pool photograph is now being likened to a strikingly similar image of her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, in the identical jumping pose, with some critics asserting it’s deliberate. Meanwhile, others have branded Meghan’s birthday video “immature and “cringe.”

Body language expert Rhiannon O’Donohoe has examined both and has disclosed the concealed messages they communicate.

O’Donohoe told The Express US, “Two notable observations must be made about Megan’s pool jump compared with the late Princess Diana’s. On the legs which are the same, and the arms which are different.

“Firstly, the propelling legs speak volumes. They’re determined and optimistic, the movement of the legs showing a desire to keep moving ahead.”

The body language expert explained, “Normally, people would hold their legs together for the jump. Whether straight or folded, legs are more often than not clutched together into one unit, which creates a more comfortable and natural experience for the jumper, and a more predictable entry into the water.

“There’s every chance that Diana’s propelling legs were an unusual, personal oddity, unique to her, and expressed her own indefatigable optimistic outlook, but it would be super unlikely that Megan copied it unintentionally. This must have been pre-planned.

“Their arms are very different in the two pics. While Diana’s hands were flailing, showing her as a free spirit, happy to go with the flow, Meghan’s are the opposite.

“The birthday girl’s arms and hands are straightened, muscles tense, showing that she likes being in the driver’s seat. Meghan’s dominant nature stands in contrast to Diana’s easygoing personality.”

O’Donohoe also scrutinised the footage of Meghan dancing in the kitchen, wearing a white T-shirt bearing the words “It’s Giving Mrs.” and matching trousers.

The expert said, “The dancey video is truly odd, specifically the lack of eye contact with whoever is filming the scene.”

O’Donohoe told The Express US, “This avoidance of eye contact while her body faces the camera, creates an accidentally-on-purpose, faux natural impression, making it seem like Meghan wants to appear spontaneous, though the clip is anything but. Her moves are intentional and show-offy, and fail to hit the authentic mark. This dance is a way to get attention, not express joy.”
