BBC EastEnders’ Lorraine Stanley flaunts incredible five stone weight loss
Former EastEnders star Lorraine Stanley has been making the most of her time away from the soap and has been jetting across Europe with her partner Mark Perez
EastEnders star Lorraine Stanley, famous for playing Karen Taylor, has wowed fans after showcasing her weight loss journey. She lost five stone after working hard on her health for a year.
Lorraine left the BBC soap in 2023 after being on it for seven years. Since then, she’s been enjoying holidays in Europe with her long-term partner Mark Perez. She got down on one knee to him last year in an adorable ‘leap year’ proposal.
Now, Lorraine looks amazing sporting a tan and a huge big smile to match it. She shared pictures on Instagram to show how much she’s changed in the past 12 months, and the results have left her fans stunned.
Lorraine said on her post: “What a difference a year makes. Five stone down, feeling good, clean living, healthy choices, new me, healthy mummy #fitat40 #healthy #moderation @louiseappelpt thank you! For your inspiration.”
In a new photo, Lorraine looked glowing wearing a skimpy black playsuit that shows off her toned legs. She’s making a peace sign, wearing her Fitbit, and her hair looks lovely in waves, reports the Mirror.
On ITV’s Lorraine, the actress talked about how she lost weight. She said: “I’ve lost 12lbs in six weeks. My mate Louisa is my fitness guru, I’ve got her to thank for it. She talks about nutrition. I’ve eaten a lot of boiled eggs, fish, chicken. No carbs, no crisps and chocolate. I’m enjoying it and I feel better for it.”
She also shared that leaving EastEnders was sad but she’s excited for new things. She joked about joining Coronation Street, saying: “I think it would have to be Corrie and I would have to be the new landlady. I’d be Gemma’s [Winter] auntie, Bernie’s sister,” and “I’d be in their family and I’d take over The Rovers.”
When she told fans she was leaving, she wrote: “Thank you to Daran Little for creating the Taylors and to the BBC for giving me the opportunity to play such a fabulous character.”
Lorraine has been busy even after leaving the soap. She’s going to do a skydive to help the Childhood Tumour Trust as an ambassador.
She’s had lots of fun recently, like turning on lights for charity, going to Tenerife, visiting art museums in Barcelona, and cheering on friends in theatre shows all over the UK.
