Bobby Brazier is hoping for a steamy storyline when he returns to EastEnders as Freddie Slater.

The 20-year-old actor will make his comeback as his alter-ego in upcoming scenes after taking a break from the  One soap to take part in Strictly Come Dancing as well as the show’s UK tour.

He attended the BAFTA TV Awards on Sunday (May 11) and spoke to Daily Star about his dream storyline. He said: “I’d say he goes through a crazy type of love affair with someone special.

When pressed on which actress he’d love to play Freddie’s new love interest, Bobby added: “I would pick the actress who plays Maeve Whiley in Sex Eduction [Emma Mackey]. She’s a great actress.”

It still remains unknown what exactly brings Freddie back to Albert Square but it has been confirmed that he brings a familiar face along with him as Laila Morse reprises her role as Big Mo Harris who was last seen in Walford back in 2022. when she attended the failed first wedding of her granddaughter Kat (Jessie Wallace) and Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden).

Mo has since made only brief appearances on the BBC soap, having originally departed in 2021 to join fiancé Fat Elvis on a cruise. Speaking of her comeback, she said: “I’m delighted to be coming home to Walford to bring Mo back to life. EastEnders holds such a special place in my heart, and I can’t wait to be reunited with my on screen family, who are like my family, as well as old and new faces.”
