Allie Shehorn, a makeup artist who’s worked on various Hollywood film sets, is reportedly fighting for her life after being stabbed.

She worked on hit movies like 2022’s Bablyon and 2024’s musical remake of Mean Girls. Allie was stabbed over 20 times, according to her friends.

The 35-year-old was reportedly stabbed in her Los Angeles, California home on May 23. Christine White, who described herself as Allie’s surrogate mother, was staying with her at the time.

“This is not the kind of thing that should happen to anybody,” Christine told KTLA, “You don’t think this is ever going to happen to you.”

The attack left Allie with injuries to her arms, neck and abdomen. “I found her and I had to go into the bedroom where it happened. That wasn’t a pretty sight,” Christine continued.

A GoFundMe was created to cover Allie’s medical costs. In it, her friends described that the authorities said her alleged attacker was caught after “trying to flee the country” out of Texas. KTLA reported that she had recently filed a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend. The Los Angeles Times reported that she has been a victim of domestic violence.

The fundraiser was set up by her friends Emily MacDonald and Jed Dornoff, who said in the description that it was Allie’s ex who allegedly perpetrated the attack. “I come to you today with a heavy heart and a plea for help for someone very dear to me, my friend Allie,” they wrote, “Recently, she faced a horrific and senseless act of violence.”

Her friends continued: “As a result, Allie is now in the hospital fighting for her life.” The GoFundMe has raised over $87,800 (about £69,100) of their $100,000 (£78,000) goal.

After the attack, Allie has undergone three separate surgeries. She has been moved out of the intensive care unit since and has “still a very long road but she is facing it with courage and determination.”
