Prince Harry reveals his ‘mission’ ahead of 40th birthday: ‘A fresh perspective on life’

Prince Harry says he’s “excited” to turn 40 this weekend — and admits that it’s a stark contrast to how he was feeling about entering his 30s.

The Duke of Sussex’s birthday is set to be marked with a star-studded party thrown by his wife, Meghan Markle.

Harry will also reportedly be heading off on a boys’ trip to the mountains with his pals for a couple of days.

Ahead of his big day, the runaway royal has opened up about his “fresh perspective on life.”

“I was anxious about 30, I’m excited about 40. Whatever the age, my mission is to continue showing up and doing good in the world,” the royal’s rep told BBC News.

“Becoming a father of two incredibly kind and funny kids has given me a fresh perspective on life, as well as sharpening my focus in all my work.”

“Being a dad is one of life’s greatest joys and has only made me more driven and more committed to making this world a better place,” the statement added.

Following his birthday festivities, Harry will travel to New York City.

His visit will coincide with UN General Assembly High-level Week and Climate Week, The Post confirmed last month.

The father of two will be in the Big Apple to “advance a number of his patronages and philanthropic initiatives,” his rep said, adding that the father of two will be busy with engagements with African Parks, The HALO Trust, The Diana Award, and Travalyst.

He will also be “furthering the work of The Archewell Foundation, the nonprofit organization he co-founded with his wife Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex,” his rep told The Post in a statement.

However, the trip will be a solo venture for the royal as his wife Meghan Markle, 43, will stay put in Montecito, Calif., with their two children.

Harry’s upcoming trip also coincides with his estranged brother Prince William’s annual Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit, which is also slated to take place on Sept. 24.

While it’s unclear if William, 42, will attend this year’s summit, the heir to the throne did appear last year.

Following his birthday festivities, Harry will travel to New York City.

Should the feuding brothers make an appearance in NYC at the same time, it’s likely that they will not acknowledge each other’s presence.

The pair last month attended their uncle’s funeral in the UK, however reportedly did not acknowledge each other’s presence.
