“Stunning Revelation: Kaley Cuoco Introduces Infant Daughter Matilda to Her Equine Companions: ‘Tildy’s First Encounter with Barn Buddies!
Kaley Cuoco Takes Infant Daughter Matilda to Meet Her Horses: ‘Tildy Met Her Barn Friends!’
A little animal lover already! Kaley Cuoco introduced her 3-week-old daughter, Matilda, to her horses.
“Finally Tildy met Her barn friends today!” the Flight Attendant star, 37, captioned a photo via Instagram of herself holding her baby in front of a horse on Tuesday, April 25.
Earlier this month, Cuoco and boyfriend Tom Pelphrey announced the arrival of their first child. “3-30-23 💓 Introducing, Matilda Carmine Richie Pelphrey, the new light of our lives! We are overjoyed and grateful for this little miracle 💓,” the Big Bang Theory alum captioned several photos from her baby girl’s first days via Instagram. “Thank you to the doctors , nurses , family and friends who have helped us immensely over the last few days. We are blessed beyond belief 💗 @tommypelphrey didn’t think I could fall even more in love with you , but I did 💗.”
For his part, Pelphrey, 40, noted that the couple have been in awe of every moment with their newborn. “Even if she’s fussy or you haven’t slept as much. When holding Matilda and she makes those little noises and coos, your heart just melts,” the Ozark actor shared with E! News on April 18. “All I want to do is sit at home with Kaley and the baby and never leave the house. It’s a miracle. We’re so happy.”
The elated couple celebrated their one-year anniversary weeks after Matilda’s birth. “Cheers to a year with you @tommypelphrey ❣️eternally grateful for you and what we have ❣️I love you, bub!” Cuoco wrote via Instagram in a tribute to her love on Saturday, April 22.
Although the actress is “absolutely exhausted” after giving birth, she “isn’t complaining” about her new parenting duties, an insider exclusively told Us Weekly days after the California native gave birth.
“She knows it comes with the territory of being a mom and says, ‘It’s totally worth it.’ And Tom is taking a hands-on approach to being a father. When Kaley wants to take a nap, he goes into full-blown daddy duty and is ensuring that raising Matilda is a two-way effort,” the source explained to Us.
While motherhood is new to her, Cuoco has long been an equestrian. She previously explained that horseback riding helps her stay grounded amid the glaring spotlight of Hollywood.
“I believe everyone in this business should have another life … If I have the horse side where I’m serious about that, as serious as I am about [acting], it just levels things out,” she told Associated Press in 2015. “I just think it’s important to survive any business really, but specifically, this business, because it can really suffocate you, and you need that space, that breathing room.”
She rides competitively under a pseudonym to maintain some anonymity, which is largely for the sake of the animals. “Bringing paparazzi to horse shows is not a great idea,” she said during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in 2016. “It spooks the horses, so I’ve actually started showing under a secret name. I have a little bit of an alias which would be really stupid if I said the name right now, so I’ve been trying to steer clear of being super noticeable, but it’s a little bit hard when you’re being followed around… I just tried to come up with something simple because it’s always up on a big board, so people walk by, and they see the name.”
